Living Wills Overview

Living Wills Resources

A living will is a document which sets forth a person's wishes regarding his care if he should become incapacitated. These legal documents are normally witnessed and/or notarized. In a living will, a person may appoint another to make health care decisions on his behalf and can also direct specific courses of treatment that should be taken by caregivers. In some instance, the document will also outline cases forbidding treatment.
