Contacts With Former Confidential Informants Deactivated for Cause
Absent exceptional circumstances that are approved by a Senior Field Manager, in advance whenever possible, an agent of a ILEA shall not initiate contacts with, or respond to contacts from, a former CI who has been deactivated for cause. When granted, such approval shall be documented in the CI's files.
