DBA
- An acronym standing for 'doing business as,' used whenever an individual or entity conducts business under a different name. All states require a public record of this business name, which can be filed with a County Clerk, the state Secretary of State, or another official. This process doesn't apply when a business name contains the true owner's name or when a corporation name is in use
- Sarah's Art Studio, DBA Craft Corner, has been serving the community for three years.
- The restaurant chain filed as 'Best Burgers' DBA 'Beast Patties'.
- Under his DBA, the author was able to publish his book under a pseudonym.
