Divorce is a court process to dissolve or end a legal marriage. All the legal rights and relationships between the spouses resulting from marriage are ended as of the moment the judge signs the divorce decree. The divorce decree will specify everything between the spouses like child custody, parent-child access visitation), child support, division of property and debt, spousal maintenance (alimony), and can change the name of either party if he or she took the name of the other spouse at marriage and now wants to go back to the former name.
