Nonjudicial Punishment
Punishment imposed under Article 15 for minor offenses, rather than by a court-martial. Often referred to as "NJP" or "Article 15." Authorized punishments for enlisted personnel include restriction, reduction in rank, forfeiture of pay, and extra duties.
