I began my career as a lawyer at Martin Attorneys, P.A. in 2001, and my practice has always focused on bankruptcy. I like the fact that bankruptcy, more than many other practice areas, is driven by legal rather than factual disputes.

Heather's law experience brings extensive real-world criminal and juvenile crime knowledge from spending nine years as a deputy prosecutor. She has expanded the Law Group's practice areas to include probate and estate planning, bankruptcy, and domestic relations. She is a proud University of Arkansas School of Law alumnae, who continues to donate more than 100 hours annually to coach the law school's Student Trial Advocacy Team.

Her experience in representing clients facing hard financial times began in law school where she clerked at the Public Defender’s and Sen. Blanche Lincoln’s office, and Vanessa understands the challenges individuals face with a job loss, sudden illness, the cost of childcare and rising costs of living.
