Burton received his bachelor's degree from Harvard in 1971 and a Masters in Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina in 1974. After working as an administrator and consultant for rural health clinics in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, he received his law degree, with high honors, from UNC in 1980. Before entering private practice in Raleigh in 1984, Burton was a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. I limit my practice to mediation and arbitration. Before I began limiting my practice, I focused especially on employment and personal injury litigation. Most of the time I represented employees, but I occasionally represented employers. Prior to focusing on employment and personal injury, I had a more general civil practice.

Elizabeth “Brooks” Savage practices intellectual property, business, and administrative law, with a focus on vice industries. She represents small and independent alcohol producers and retailers (such as breweries, wineries, distilleries, bars, and restaurants) with various business needs, including trademark development and protection, entity formation, operations, Alcoholic Beverage Control laws, permitting and licensing, and contracts. In the cannabis and entertainment industries, Elizabeth works with entrepreneurs, content creators, and businesses as they start-up, expand, and develop. Ultimately, her goal as an attorney is to help people who are chasing their dreams.

Narendra graduated from Harvard University, summa cum laude, in 1998, and from the New York University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2005. Prior to attending law school, Narendra was a computer programmer for several companies in Silicon Valley, including Network Appliance, Inc.
