I spent the first 8 years of my practice in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office in its Trial Division. There I tried over 300 cases to final verdict before juries and hundreds more bench trials, motions, and probation revocations. I took all that experience into the private practice of law which has now lasted 35 years. John M. Groce, Jr. was born in Waco and raised in Colleyville before he started working as a young paralegal with his father and grandfather. John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 from Baylor University, with a major in English and a minor in Rhetoric & Argumentation before attending Texas Tech University School of Law, where he graduated in 1995 with a Juris Doctor degree.
