While in college at the University of Delaware, Marta was drawn towards issues of social justice in society after working as a research assistant in a social psychology laboratory that focused on understanding intergroup bias and racism. She knew studying law would be the next logical step. Following graduation, Marta interned at the Delaware Department of Justice in the Family Unit, where she gained valuable experience in the criminal justice system and advocating for victims' rights. Mr. Ferry was born in Wilmington, Delaware and attended Salesianum School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice & Sociology from University of Delaware in 2008, and graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law in 2012. During his time at Widener Law, Brian served as an Articles Editor for the Widener Law Review, was recognized as a Widener Merit Scholar, and worked as a law clerk at Ferry Joseph. Brian focuses his practice on estates, probate, guardianships, wills, trusts, contract disputes and litigation.

Mr. Ferry was born in Philadelphia, PA and is a founding director of the firm. Mr. Ferry has regularly been named as one of the top 100 lawyers in Delaware in Delaware Today Magazine, most recently featured in their “Top Lawyers” issue in November 2021. He has also been recognized as a “Delaware Super Lawyer” in the area of Estate and Trust Litigation in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine, and served as the President of the Delaware State Bar Association from July 2018 through June 2019.

I am a hard working, knowledgeable, compassionate, driven attorney who draws on past experience to work with clients who are in many different facets of life, to achieve their goals. My work is focused in Estate Planning and Elder law but with particular attention to government programs, such as Medicaid and VA benefits.
