James S. Helfrich spent three years in Manhattan as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He then moved to Colorado where he worked as an associate at Gersh & Danielson and then as a founding partner at Gersh & Helfrich, LLP. James moved to Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor P.C. in November 2010, where he continues to focus in commercial and securities litigation. My environmental law experience includes a decade as an attorney for the Environmental Protection Agency, rising to Regional Counsel Section Chief; a decade as an Equity Partner for a 200 attorney litigation firm, rising to Chair of their Environmental Practice Group; and a decade running my own Environmental Law Boutique Firm in Chicago before opening my Firm's second office in Denver Colorado in 2011.

I earned a Juris Doctorate, a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign.
