Kevin Collins focuses upon environmental crime and other litigation, counseling during grand-jury investigations, and internal corporate investigations. He practices in state, federal, and administrative courts. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Mr. Collins served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Texas. As a former federal prosecutor, he has signficant experience leading government investigations and prosecuting individuals and corporations who committed crimes in several areas including environmental crime, health-care fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering.

Originally from New Jersey, I began my practice as an attorney representing individuals, developers, and corporate clients in real estate and corporate transactions in and around New York City and Jersey City. These matters included the purchase and sale of commercial property, and the negotiation of related financing and partnership agreements. Currently, I assist nationwide retailers in the negotiation of shopping center leases around the country, in addition to a variety of other matters at the local level.

Mr. Ramirez is experienced in civil, environmental, construction and information technology matters and has a history of successful resolution of contested issues.
