Faith Anne Johnson Maughan was born in Peabody, Kansas on December 9, 1970. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1989, and earned a B.A. in Psychology from Washburn University in 1993. After earning her degree, Mrs. Maughan worked for two years at Menningers in Topeka, Kansas. My passion for the law started out of college, where I worked at Metmor Financial as a paralegal. During my time at Metmor, I was able to gain an insight into the legal field. I moved in 1997 to Topeka, KS, where I accepted a position as a paralegal for the Kansas State Appellate Defender Office. While there, I was able to implement my love of research and writing.
