Raised in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, I graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1997. In search of a small liberal arts education, and intent upon getting away from home and becoming independent, I attended Kalamazoo College in Michigan. I graduated in 2001 with a major in political science. In 2004, I graduated from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa.
