A registered civil mediator, Mr. Kamplain has over 339 years experience resolving disputes using a variety of litigation avoidance techniques including alternative dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and dispositive motion.He has litigated matters before state and federal courts throughout Indiana, and has argued more than 28 appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. FRANK DEVEAU serves as co-chair of Taft's Environmental Practice and represents clients in relation to all aspects of environmental law. He advises and defends clients in relation to environmental litigation involving private parties, and federal and state government. He has assisted clients in administrative proceedings, obtaining and maintaining compliance with solid and hazardous waste permits, air permits, CFO, CAFO and water discharge permits. Michael Lakes joined our Indianapolis office in July of 2024. Before that, he was employed with the Indiana Department of Child Services providing legal services to field staff to help promote compliance with Indiana law and child welfare. As soon as he graduated from law school, Michael joined a general practice firm in Martinsville, IN where he represented clients in criminal, civil, and family law. Spencer was born and raised in Florida, but has been a proud Indiana resident since coming to Bloomington to attend law school in 2003. Spencer represented indigent clients in the Community Legal Clinic while attending law school. After graduating from Indiana University School of Law in 2006, Spencer moved to Indianapolis and began his litigation career focusing on defending personal injury actions.
