I focus my litigation practice at Bennett Bigelow & Leedom. on medical malpractice defense and insurance defense litigation. I began my trial practice as a prosecuting attorney in 2007, litigating felony and misdemeanor criminal jury trials. I transitioned to civil litigation in 2010 and expanded my practice to include representing clients in business litigation and personal injury disputes. I am admitted to practice before all Washington and Idaho state and federal courts. I also volunteer as a Board Member on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities Spokane.

Kent is a self-proclaimed rural boy at heart. He was born in Wichita, Kansas and lived in Kansas City, Missouri. It was in the Midwest where Kent learned the value of hard work. Jim has extensive federal and state trial and appellate experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters, having served as defense counsel in product liability claims involving asbestos, prescription medications, naturopathic compounds, medical devices, sports safety helmets, and other products. He also has considerable experience with building and construction defect claims on behalf of contractors, building owners, and occupants as well as fire loss and property damage claims, including business interruption, loss of use, and loss of access claims.

After law school, Stryder worked at the YWCA of Pierce County in the legal services department, where he represented primarily Spanish speaking victims of domestic violence in matters ranging from criminal hearings to protection orders and dissolutions.
