Michael grew up in Tuscola county and graduated from Kingston High School. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelors of Professional Accountancy. After attending SVSU, he attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. While attending Cooley, he was a member of the Thomas M.
