I have been practicing in Fort Smith since 2012 and began my career here working as a prosecutor for Sebastian County where I gained invaluable courtroom experience. I believe that some of my life experiences, both past and present, give me the ability to connect with my clients with genuine empathy and understanding. I have, myself, been involved with the legal system in the area of custody and know first-hand how uncomfortable it can be. She has expanded the Law Group's practice areas to include probate and estate planning, bankruptcy, and domestic relations. Joe Byars has over 25 years of experience in private practice. He began his practice in Dallas, Texas, handling business and employment law issues of all types. Since moving to his hometown of Fort Smith,Arkansas, his practice has focused on civil litigation, including personal injury law,employment law, and complex business litigation in many areas, including antitrust, and healthcare. Joe also handles estate planning, business transactions and regulatory issues.

Laura maintains a focus on probate and estate planning in addition to real estate matters including deed preparation.

Laura is from central Arkansas and moved to Fayetteville eight years ago. Laura graduated from Bryant High School and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida. She received her law degree from the University of Arkansas Bowen School of Law.

I am an Arkansas native married to my high-school sweetheart and we have 4 wonderful, small children. I chose to focus on the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Guardianships, and Business Formation after my father passed away while I was in law school. Fortunately, because my parents had completed their estate planning, we, as a family, were able to focus on honoring my father’s memory rather than having to worry about my father’s property and his estate. This experience inspired me to be able to provide this same peace of mind to other families.

Mary K. Walker practices primarily in the fields of agricultural law and civil litigation, including real estate and probate law. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law and is licensed in the state courts of Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, in four United States District Courts and in the federal Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
