I was a federal prosecutor in NYC and San Francisco and have practiced federal and state criminal defense for nearly 40 years. I have extensive experience in all areas including white collar defense, fraud, narcotics, OUI and similar criminal charges. Admitted in Maine, Massachusetts, New York and federal courts in all 3 states.
I grew up on the shores of Sebec Lake in rural Maine. I attended Princeton University and then returned to Maine with the intention of practicing law. My entire 15 year career has been spent in the Courtroom litigating criminal cases - first as a prosecutor and now for 10 years defending persons charged with crimes in both State and Federal Courts throughout the State.
I currently work for the US Government in a non-lawyer role. I am also a reserve judge advocate (JAG). I do not take private clients and I do not refer nor receive legal fees from any law firm, although I remain nominally affiliated with a former law firm as "of counsel". I would like to collaborate with professional colleagues on writing and web development professional projects. My main focus, due to my current career as an auditor, is government fiscal law, to include acquisitions. I am also very interested in international copyright law.
