Mary Lou Bylsma was born on November 20, 1972 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and has dedicated her legal career to helping injured workers. Mrs. Bylsma graduated from Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1995 with a B.A. in History. She graduated from the Louisiana State University Law Center in 1999. While in law school, she received the CALI award for outstanding student in the subject of Constitutional Law and Matrimonial Regime, and was Professor Crawford’s research assistant for his revised edition of the Torts Treatise.
