Steven D. Maas worked in the steel mills when he was a young man — and it was there where he decided that he wanted to become a lawyer who would help working people.

Irene graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1980 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1981.

Irene is also admitted to the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio; the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania; and the U.S. Tax Court.

Irene is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Trumbull County Bar Association, and NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives).

I decided that I wanted to be an attorney after working in the steel mill for several years and saw how people were treated in the workplace. I felt they needed representation as no one was standing up for them and the employer always had representation. I decided to be an attorney to help people and to win claims at all cost. I have represented my clients at all levels from the administrative process all the way to the Ohio Supreme court where I have argued several cases successfully in front of the Supreme Court on behalf of my clients.
