Matt is originally from North Dakota, but had connections to the Twin Cities that drew him to the area. While in law school, Matt served on the Executive Board for the Valparaiso University Law Review and clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Matt served a one year clerkship for the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner at the North Dakota Supreme Court. Mr. Adkins is in his 24th year in representing clients in the areas of probate and trust administration, will contests, estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, residential and commercial real estate transactions, property title corrections, mechanic's liens, business formation, and the sale and purchase of small businesses.
Rob is an experienced estate planning attorney, and provides free consulations on all files to evaluate a client's situation and explore what he can offer. He is a leader in the Minneapolis-St. Paul estate planning community, eduating other attorneys in the areas of estate planning, probate and trusts. He provides simple wills at low cost for clients with modest estates, and more sophisticated planning involving estate tax savings techniques and business sucession for wealthier clients.
I have a great deal of experience with court matters, but I am now concentrating more on Wills and Probate. I have been an arbitrator of Minnesota No Fault Auto Accident Claims. I graduated from Hopkins (MN) High School in 1967; St. Olaf College, Northfield MN in 1971 (BA History and Asian Studies) and William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline Law School) in 1975 (JD), working days and attending classes at night through a four year program. I am married and have two adult children.
