Marriage & Prenuptial Agreements

How Do Marriage Contracts Differ From Co-Habitation Agreements?

A couple may enter into a prenuptial agreement in anticipation of marriage or without the expectation of marriage. For couples that are able to be married or who are already marriage, the agreement is called a marriage contract. For couples who are unmarried, and either cannot legally be married or do not wish to be married, but still want to enter an agreement on their respective rights, duties and obligations during and after their relationship, such an agreement is called a co-habitation agreement.
